The "Black Tie" is dressed up in an elegantly understated way. The ebony peghead face is inlaid with a large engraved fleur de lis made of mother of pearl and abalone and has the mother of pearl Walker logo. The fingerboard is simply inlaid only at the 12th fret with a pair of fleur de lis and it is bound top and side with multi Black, white and ivoroid. The body is bound front and back with nine ply Black, white and ivoroid. The F-holes are bound in Black, white and ivoroid. The top is hand carved and tuned of very select aged Sitka spruce. The back is hand carved and tuned of very nice aged flamed American maple with matching sides. The neck is of matched 3-piece flame maple with fine veneer pin striping. The pickguard is ebony and bound with Black, white and ivoroid. The bridge, tailpiece, and truss rod cover are ebony. Machines are Grover Imperials.
The "Excel" is a traditional style guitar with some of the best modern features used by the great makers of the past half century. The peghead is inlaid with a torch and banner made from mother of pearl and abalone. It is hand engraved and has the Excel name on the banner. The Walker logo is mother of pearl. It is bound with multilayers of Black, white and ivoroid. It is faced front and back with ebony. A mother of pearl truss rod cover with an engraved border is standard. The fingerboard is ebony that is inlaid with fancy split blocks of mother of pearl and is bound with Black, white and ivoroid. The body is bound front and back with nine ply traditional Black, white and ivoroid. The F-holes are bound in fine Black, white and ivoroid. The top is hand carved and tuned of very select aged Sitka spruce. The back is hand carved and tuned of very nice aged flamed American maple with matching sides.
The pickguard is ebony and bound with Black, white and ivoroid.
The bridge and tailpiece are ebony.
Machines are Grover Imperials.
The "Classic" is a guitar of simple elegance. The one pictured has optional burl wood, pickup and tuners. The peghead is faced with ebony veneer with a single strip of ivoroid and inlaid with a mother of pearl and abalone deco style vase and the mother of pearl Walker logo. It is made with an ebony fingerboard that is not inlaid and is bound with a single strip of ivoroid. The body is bound in ivoroid and the purfling is traditional four ply Black and white lines front and two ply back. The F-holes are nicely cut and unbound. The top is hand carved and tuned aged Sitka spruce. The back is hand carved and tuned of flamed American maple with matching sides. The neck is flamed maple with fine Black wood lines. The pickguard, bridge, truss rod cover and tailpiece are of polished ebony. Machines are gold Grover Super Rotomatics.
The "Empress" is a limited edition model, the one shown is in the one that was built for Scott Chinery which was on display at the Smithsonian Institute. The Empress features only the most select, rare and spectacular materials. The inlay features an abalone and mother of pearl peacock sitting on a hill crowing at the rising sun. The fingerboard inlay features abalone planet and moon inlaid into mother of pearl block inlays bound with a fine red stripe. The same inlay theme is carried on to the back of the head, heel, and tailpiece. The top is bound with beautiful blue abalone with red and Black stripes finished off with ivoroid. The top is hand carved and tuned aged Premium spruce. The back is hand carved and tuned of flamed American maple with matching sides. The neck, headstock, pickguard, tailpiece and the back and sides are all bound with red and Black and finished off with ivoroid. Machines are Grover Imperials with pearl buttons.
