Visit to Mandolin Brothers, Dec. 2006

To everybody who’d like to come to visit our showroom but hasn’t been able to up to now, the following message was sent to us by Scott Twite of McPherson Guitars (our newest brand of six-string) following his visit.  Then we got a cover note from George Hergen.   While these pictures don’t tell the whole story (Scott didn’t take photos of the National Guitar area, the Resophonic wood-body area, the electric-acoustic room, the “B” room (banjos & basses), the Django and Eastman guitar area, the Leftorium, the PRS area, the big Gibson/Martin/Taylor/nylon string 12-string area, and there’s only one photo each in the Small Builder (Boutique) Room and the “G” room (Gibson, Guild and Gretsch) this will give you an idea of what it’s like in our “Aladdin’s Cave” of fine fretted instruments.  Most of the photos are by Scott.     Enjoy – and try to come visit us this year.

Stan-

It was a pleasure to visit you at your shop on Staten Island prior to my trip to Tokyo.  I knew it would be a great shop to visit but I never imagined exactly how great.  It exceeded my wildest expectation with the wonderful organization of each room which seemed to take you into another world.  We are honored to be in your high-end room in the company of so many fine guitars.

Thank you for taking the time to show me around and explain the various guitars and makers in each of the rooms.  It was like taking a trip through the back of Lewis's Wardrobe.  A real treat and wonderful to meet you, Denny and some of your regular customers like Mark.

Attached are the pictures I took while I was there.  Thank you also for the signed catalog.  It has been a joy to partner with you Stan and we look forward to great things together in the future.

Thanks again Stan!

Sincerely,

Scott Twite

From: Mr. George P. Hergen Subject: FW: Visit to Mandolin Brothers Dec 2006

If you haven't been there already, you've got to make the trip.  If you've already been there, it's time to return.

I was at the shop during the holidays; every time I go (so many times now that I can't count it) I'm amazed at the people I meet and the instruments on display.

It's one wonderful experience
