The WS Series |
|
RainSongs's WS Series forges the way for better sound. As you well know, Projection Tuned Layering™ makes the difference. This revolutionary process, developed by RainSong, greatly reduces the weight of the soundboard while increasing overall stiffness and response. Add pure graphite construction, and the WS Series has a dramatically louder, better balanced, warmer sound. Players accustomed to conventional acoustics will be surprised by the light weight, delicacy and projection of these guitars. The WS Series "Grand Auditorium Cutaway" guitars are VERY loud acoustically. The bass is rich and articulate. The treble has that unique RainSong crystal-bell (not crystal ball, but close) clarity. The guitars are extremely even and well-balanced, the smooth taper of the computer-designed neck makes for smooth, fast and easy playing. WE DON'T STOCK the RainSong non-pickup equipped guitars, but if pickups and preamps give you a rash, then, on a special order basis only we can advise that, for players who prefer guitars which do not have a control panel built into the bass side, the WS1100 is offered without any electronics. Totally unamplified, the WS1100 remains true to the acoustic integrity of the pure carbon sound. Of course the amplifiable models also remain true to that same acoustic integrity if you don't plug them in. Frankly, we don't see why anybody would want this guitar without the OBB, which stands of On-Board Blender. The WS1000 is worth the price difference even if all you do is move the slider controls and rotary knobs for theraputic purposes. Works for us. For those needing a little more volume or octave-based tintinabulation, there is now the twelve-string WS2000. Plug in and the world stands on its head. Both WS1000 and WS2000 come standard with top-of-the-line Fishman electronics. Unlike wood, which actually dampens the efforts of electronics, the pure graphite of the WS Series enhances the electrical energy of the pickup, amplifying all the subtle richness of RainSong's classic carbon sound. NEW NYLON STRING: At lahst, the WS9000 combines the Grand Auditoriium Cutaway shape, pickup and preamp with the jazz/classical sound that elevates your recorded performance to the level of Masterpiece. A Foot Stool is not included. Finally, like all RainSongs, the WS Series is the ultimate tool for the working, traveling musician. The inherent stability and strength of graphite means a guitar that can universally be counted on. Your WS Series guitar (unlike some of your so-called friends) doesn't mind riding in the trunk from Boulder to Palm Springs. It won't belly, bloat or wither on the vine with changes in the environment. And, it won't go out of tune every ten minutes. Just grab it and go. |

The Dreadnought is the traditional workhorse of acoustic guitar music. With a large, deep body and wide waist, RainSong's DR1000 has the powerful bass and ringing treble of a great rhythmic guitar, but still maintains a wonderfully balanced sound, with clear distinction among individual notes. From rhythm to lead, the DR1000 makes its presence known. Capable of cutting through admirably in any acoustic setting, the DR1000 is loud enough to compete with banjos, mandolins and other traditional volume hogs. List Price $2995 The RainSong MAP is $2099. |

How do you describe RainSong's JM1000? Three words: loud, loud, and loud. And if that's not enough, it's also loud. This is the largest body RainSong builds. The sheer size, combined with the attributes of Projection Tuned Layering make the JM1000 one of the loudest acoustic guitars on the planet. This guitar is loud. We had to say it again. But the JM1000 is not just about power. The narrow waist and some layering refinements specific to the Jumbo soundboard give the JM1000 some real fingerstyle grace. The guitar is strong, but impeccably balanced, with bass, mids and trebles distinct, clear, and -dare we say it again?- loud. List price $2995. The RainSong MAP is $2249. |

New from RainsongThe All-Graphite Advanced SeriesRainSong Graphite Guitars is introducing The All-Graphite Advanced Series – a new line of composite, deep body, cutaway guitars designed from the ground up to provide additionalvalue for musicians. Made entirely in the USA, this series features all-graphite construction, super fast, adjustable graphite necks and rich colors -- all at an attractive new price point. It is housed in a special gigbag The Advanced Series features all-graphite soundboards crafted using RainSong’s patented Projection Tuned Layering™ process, made popular by the acclaimed All-Graphite Series. Constructed entirely without restrictive braces, the all-graphite soundboards vibrate freely to provide greater acoustic volume and a clean, detailed tone. The Advanced Series sports a bold new look with rich colors -- blue, black and red -- complemented by accents of the shimmering graphite-weave look. The neck of the Advanced Series is the first all-composite neck/fingerboard combination to include an integral double-action trussrod. The composite fingerboard is precision CNC-machined. The strength of the carbon fiber, the adjustable truss rod, the precision-shaped fingerboard and the new low-profile shape combine to provide a super-fast neck with a consistently low action and no dead spots. The all-graphite construction is virtually impervious to humidity and temperature variations. Building on the stability of the All-Graphite Series, the Advanced Series was designed with enhanced toughness to be able to better handle the physical stresses of travel (for your guitar, not, unfortunately, for you). From climate-impervious graphite construction to super-fast adjustable carbon necks, from composite bridges to built-in electronic tuners, from tough finish-free surfaces to high gear-ratio tuners, the Advanced Series is loaded with technological advances designed to allow players to focus on the main entrée – the loud, balanced, crystalline Carbon tone. |
