Bill Collings has been making guitars in Texas since 1973. He has a special interest in the great vintage instruments of the 1930s, and does a superb job of reproducing the details of style and workmanship that have set these guitars apart from all others. The bracing and internal construction are reminiscent of '30s Martins, while the body designs reflect Bill's own aesthetic vision. For sound, he aims for the kind of balance and strong midrange with the sparkle and clarity that many players prefer. All models feature the Collings logo inlaid in mother of pearl in the headstock, tortoise pickguard, and Waverly vintage-style open gear tuners. Necks are 1 11/16" at the nut, unless ordered differently, and this is a good time to say that every OM model we order gets the 1 3/4" nut option. A lifetime warranty to the original owner is provided by the builder. In case the model you're seeking is not on at this moment we will reserve the next available one for you if you will provide a fully refundable $100 "right of first refusal" deposit. When the guitar you've reserved comes in it's put in storage for you, untouched by human hands, and only you get the call that it's arrived. You can use the $100 towards payment, you can say "Thanks, but I'll wait for the next one," you can have the guitar shipped to you and decide if you like it or not (on a 3-day approval basis), or you can ask for your $100 back at any time. What a deal!

The Collings C-10 is a grand concert 00-size guitar. All C-10's have a 1 11/16" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length, 14 3/4" body width, 19 1/4" length, 4 1/4" depth, and a total length of 39 1/2".

The SJ Series

This small jumbo (SJ) is based on the Gibson J-185 model. The dimensions are 1 11/16" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length, 16" body width, 20 1/8" length, 4 1/4" depth, and 40 1/4" total length.

Baby: In our opinion this is one of the finest sounding tiny guitars we have ever seen or played. There are those who feel that this 3/4 sized instrument sounds as full, rich and warm as other maker's dreadnoughts. Made of East Indian rosewood back and sides, select spruce top, grained ivoroid binding, scalloped bracing, herringbone purfling, crosscut grained ivoroid and wood strip rosette tortise style pick guard.
